Eight Legal provides businesses with legal advice and consultancy in areas such as employment law, discrimination law and contract law. James is particularly interested in helping business leaders navigate complex legal issues in a pragmatic, down to earth way.
Legal Adviser/Non-Executive Director
James acts as a Legal Adviser/Non-Executive Director for several high growth companies
He advises on ethics, Corporate Governance and, recently, the UK Corporate Governance Code along with:
- Fiduciary Duties of Directors in common law and Statute
- Preventing Reputational Damage
- The Bribery Act 2010 UK
- Good faith requirements
- The Companies Act 2006
- Employment law and restructuring HR Departments
- The Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act, and changes to Company law in 2025

Fee £30,000 + VAT (minimum 1 year contract)
James is available for private consultations and legal assistance on compliance and commercial law training and consultancy at the hourly rate of £600 + VAT
